- 1 lb Chicken cut into desired sizes
- 1 tbsp Fish sauce
- 3/4 cup Glutinous rice
- 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
- 5 cups Water
- 1 pc Onion diced
- 4 cloves Garlic crushed
- 1/4 tsp Saffron
In a casserole, heat cooking oil then sauté garlic and onions until brown. Then add the ginger and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Put-in chicken and stir well. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
Then season with black pepper and fish sauce, then 2 cups of water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes over low medium heat.
Remove the chicken from the casserole then set aside.
In the same casserole, add 3 more cups of water and glutinous rice then boil for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.Note: Stir the rice occasionally to avoid sticking on the casserole.
Then put-in chicken and stir well. Cook for another 5 minutes, then add the saffron or casubha.
Transfer in a small serving bowl. Eat while hot!
