Best Kilawing Labanos Recipe

This is a popular way of Filipino where raw food is cooked in vinegar. This dish makes use of thinly sliced radish and onion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Radish sliced thinly into strips
  • 1/2 cup Ground Pork
  • 1 pc Onion minced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar
  • 2 1/2 cups Water

Instructions

  • Boil 2 cups of water in a pot and put the radish. Simmer for 5 mins.
  • Filter the radish and let it cool. Then, slightly squeeze it using a clean cloth.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic and onion. Mix well.
  • Now, add the ground pork, mix and pour in 1/2 cup of water. Then sprinkle with black pepper and salt. Cook for 15 mins.
  • Put the radish, mix and cover. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour vinegar and cover again. Cook for another 10 mins.
  • Mix well and serve hot.
