Best Binakol na Manok Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken sliced into serving pieces
  • 2 cups Coconut Water
  • 1 cup Young Coconut Meat
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 bunch Lemongrass cut into 3-inch
  • 1 pc Tomato cubed
  • 1 pc Potato cubed
  • 1 pc Onion chopped
  • 1 thumb Ginger crushed or sliced into circles
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth
  • ½ teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 pc Baguio Leeks cut into 3-inch

Instructions

  • Rub salt and pepper over the chicken. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Then in a casserole, put the chicken, onion, tomato, coconut juice, and young coconut meat. Turn the heat on. Cover and let it boil for about 30 minutes.
  • Put-in the potatoes and lemongrass then wait for 10 minutes until it boils again.
  • Pour the chicken broth and Baguio leeks and simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve while hot. Enjoy!
