Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp large, deveined and shelled
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Calamansi extract
  • 1 cup Cooking oil
  • 1 pc Egg
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 ½ cups Water

Instructions

  • In a bowl, season shrimp with salt, pepper and calamansi extract. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • Pour flour in a large bowl and combine with beaten egg, salt and pepper.
  • Add water and mix well. Set aside.
    Note: You can add more water if the mixture is too thick.
  • Heat oil in a pot.
  • Once the oil is hot, dip the shrimp in the batter mixture. Gently drop on the pot then deep fry for 2 minutes. Roll the shrimp over and continue to deep fry for 1 minute. 
  • Remove from the pot and place in a plate over paper tissue.
  • Eat with your favorite dip.
