Best Shrimp in Tomato Sauce Recipe

  • 1 lb Shrimp shelled, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 pc Onion diced
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Calamansi juice extract


  • Heat cooking oil in a pan.
  • Saute garlic and onion for 2 minutes or until brown.
  • Add the shrimp, then season with salt, pepper and calamansi extract. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour-in tomato sauce and let it boil for 10 minutes over low heat.
